How to Tighten Frameless Shower Handle (in 4 Easy Steps)

Our glass shower door handle has been loose for awhile now, and it needed to be fixed. So with a little research, and about 10 minutes, I was able to tighten the handle myself (DIY style)! It was quick, easy, and saved us some money- not hiring out! So I wanted to share the process with you in case you’re having the same problem/issue at your own house. Let’s get to it! How to Tighten Frameless Shower Handle (in 4 Easy Steps)

Supplies:

Allen Wrench – here or here
Phillips Screwdriver
Shower Handle – similar here

I also recommend using a bath rug/towel – (something soft underneath in case the shower handle falls off) while working.

And yes – you’ll notice that I did NOT clean my shower ahead of time – haha! So these pics are not as clear as they should be 😉

Ok, let’s get to it! How to Tighten Frameless Shower Handle (in 4 Easy Steps)!

4 Easy Steps

Step 1) Loosen Small Screws On Handle

The first thing you will do is use your Allen Wrench tool and loosen the small screws on the INSIDE handle.

I had to use both of the tools because my honey might have overtightened them when trying to fix this 😉
But you might just need one of these tools.
Mine was the 2nd smallest – just a fyi.

Here are some pictures so you can see what these screws look like:

in = tightened
out = loosened

To loosen – turn LEFT.

You might have to play around with the Allen wrench – until it “fits” just right into the screw. Just don’t turn too aggressively – so that you don’t strip the screw.

My handle had 4 small screws, and you will loosen all 4 of them.
