Last year I changed things up for our Easter Table – showcasing my Mom’s (aka Gabbi’s) Pink Manhattan Depression Glass. And this year I am changing things up again – lol! This year I am showcasing all of the beautiful “finds” from my dear friend Jennifer’s family store – Hermann Furniture (the oldest furniture store in Texas, and in my hometown Brenham, TX)! So, let get to it! Easter & Spring Tablescape Idea: Blue + Green.

Easter & Spring Tablescape Idea: Blue + Green
Some Decorating Tips:
I just wanted to remind you to be kind to yourself this Easter season, and let His light shine through YOU (& not the decorations).
- You are decorating your table for Jesus, and He knows that you are decorating out of love.
- He sees you and knows your heart – and that takes all of the pressure off decorating (& cooking) – thank goodness!!
- So that means you can decorate with a joyful and grateful heart, and don’t have to stress out about how it looks (or tastes) LOL!
Ok, now we can carry on in a peaceful manner – Amen!
Let’s get to it! Easter & Spring Tablescape Idea: Blue + Green.
Easter & Spring Tablescape Idea: Blue + Green
If you are ever planning a trip to Brenham, TX you have to stop by and visit Hermann Furniture – and of course my dear friend Jennifer Hermann.

The Store:
Hermann Furniture is the oldest furniture store in Texas and is truly one-of-a-kind!
- It has deep roots going back to 1876 (opened by Gottlieb Hermann).
- And is still family owned and run – by my friend Jennifer Hermann (5th generation).
From the moment you walk in, you will not only see Jennifer’s impeccable style, you’ll feel it in all of the boutique finishes and subtle southern charm.
- It is filled with absolutely beautiful, cozy and cottage style furniture, the most adorable linens, custom fabrics, & throw pillows, and a floral department to swoon over for hours.
- And once you’re done exploring all of the items in the home decor section, you can visit the antique mall (on one side) and an emporium (food, children’s clothing, & craft mall- on the other side).
Definitely no shortage of eye candy to see and taste!
The Events:
In addition, they host a ton of events to sign up for like the one I went to last year with my Mom:
- Ladies Who Lunch – Table Decorating Luncheon.

Jennifer & her Mom, Patsy hosted a luncheon where they taught us how to set different styles of table settings + holiday ideas + yummy food recipes!
- And yes – you can use paper goods, melamine, & plastic for table decorating and place settings (especially for lunch)!
You can also sign up for their weekly emails so you’re in the know about all the upcoming events like these for Spring 2024:
- March 2-29 – Easter Bunny Pictures with Brenham Portrait Gallery
- March 23 – Over-the-Top Table Top Event
- April 18 – Design Seminar by Kristen Evons
- May 15 – John Hermann Day: Grand Opening for John’s Corner
If you’re in the area – you’ve got to stop by! You will NOT be disappointed!
Ok, let’s see what goodies I found at Jennifer’s!
Easter & Spring Tablescape Idea: Blue + Green
So here are the supplies that started off the entire Easter table inspiration – aren’t they all just so gorgeous!

- 1 Green Greek Key Cloth Hand Towel – (WH Hostess)

Then I added in my own supplies (like always) to complete the look.

- Silver Flatware
- Blue Hobnail Plastic Tea Goblets + (Green Hobnail Glasses)
- White Dot Cake Stand
- Silver Bunny Candle Holder/White Candle/Blue Bow

And here is what it looked like with everything all together.

So let’s break it down! Here is our Easter & Spring Tablescape Idea: Blue + Green!
Easter & Spring Tablescape Idea: Blue + Green
I will try to make this short and sweet today (eye roll inserted) since I am always long-winded!
- But there will still be a ton of pictures 😉
Each year I begin with some type of inspiration piece(s) and then build on from there.
- Since I already had my Hermann Furniture inspiration items bought, I just needed to pull it all together.
#1) Runner
And that’s what happened when I found this blue runner with chartreuse green scalloped edges from Home Goods! I really felt like God had hand-delivered a little miracle to me as soon as I saw it!
You can tell from the picture below that it was a perfect match for my Hermann Furniture goodies!

Let’s move on to the place settings portion of the tablescape.
#2) Place Settings
Once I had the solid blue runner taken care of, I could play around with the place setting arrangement.
I used the:
- floral paper placemat, silver flatware, & blue hobnail plastic tea goblet
- white dot ceramic dinner & salad plates,
- green Chinoiserie paper plate,
- paper napkin and blue egg.

Let’s move on to the centerpiece/runner portion of the tablescape.
#3) Centerpiece
Now that I had my runner and place settings arranged, it was time to focus on the table centerpiece.
I knew the 2 planters from Hermann Furniture were going to be used, I just needed to fill them.
- So I used the greenery from my Shades of Blue & Easter Egg Table, to make it easier.
- And I also used the blue eggs – (the ones on the place settings & centerpiece).
- I love repurposing!
Basically I used:
- 1 greenery bush and put it into the middle of the planter, and
- 2 white rose & greenery bouquets – one bouquet to each open spot.

Here they are all together.
- I always turn mine so that the white flowers can be seen on both the left and right sides (like LEFT below). Basically turned toward the front of the table.
- But feel free to keep them top & bottom also (RIGHT below) so that your guests can see them on each side of the table.
- It’s all personal preference.

Now it’s time to add the centerpiece.
I used:
- the white dot cake stand
- a silver bunny candle holder/white candle
- 2 silver candle holders/white candles
- 3 turquoise eggs (mentioned above)
I have used this bunny candle holder in my Easter Table Setting: Spring Green + White Tulips post, but this year I decided to “Jael” it up with a girlie blue bow.
I love how it turned out! It also added height and a focal point – all at the same time.

Here is a top view of it.

In addition to the blue plastic eggs, I also decided to use these woven rattan eggs from Target.
- Aren’t they just the cutest?
- They provided just a touch of warmth and texture to the cooler blue, green, and silver color palette.

And here is a wide view so you can see how everything works together.

#4) Buffet
I know some of you may not be on board with using the paper goods or plastic – since it is against everything ever taught to us southern girls by our mommas – LOL!
- But more & more people are now moving towards a “less-is-more” type of decorating and lifestyle.
- And melamine dinnerware (plastic dinnerware) has been very popular for years now – especially for those parents with small kiddos.
Using paper products means clean up is:
- easier – since you can toss items into the trash
- less time-consuming – you don’t have to spend 2 hours washing dishes
End Result: MORE quality family time!
So if you just can’t break free from your traditional etiquette “schoolings” LOL, set up your buffet with the paper products and cloth tea towels for a dessert station.

You can also use some of these paper guest towels/napkins in your powder bath!

Either way, you’ll have a coordinating buffet/powder bath to wow your family, friends, and guests!

After Pictures & Additional Decorating Options
If you haven’t already had enough info (haha!), here are some extra pics & ideas.
Side Views.

And what about those green hobnail glasses listed in the supplies?
- I saw these at a restaurant in Galveston – and fell in love with them!!
- You can find the green ones + other colors at Home Goods.

And if all that blue is just too whimsical and girlie for you, just stick with the woven rattan eggs.
It really changes the overall look and feel of the table.

As for me, I’m sticking with my whimsical blue eggs! They just make me smile.

He is Risen!
He is Risen Indeed!

Have a Very Blessed & Happy Easter Everyone!!
